Mitchell Jack McRae

Mitch has joined his beloved parents, Jack and Lucille McRae.

He grew up in Santa Barbara, attended Hope School, La Colina, and San Marcos. He served in the Navy, worked at Raytheon, The Carrillo Hotel and the County of Santa Barbara. Mitch was a very loving man who tried to help family, friends and strangers alike.

He will be missed by a large extended family and anyone who ever knew him. He loved Santa Barbara and enjoyed being with friends and family, reading, listening to music and his Church. He excelled at piano playing, drawing and writing. He is preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Kyle, his brother Mark and Uncles, Jim and John Fifield.

He is survived by his brother Mike and wife Cheryl, sister Melody and husband Jeff Walden, sister-in-law, Cathy McRae, nephews Joey, Koz and Zach, nieces Jennifer, Korlynne and Katy, aunts Mary and Lil and all the Fifield Clan. His great nieces and nephews will always remember their funny, loving and ever generous Uncle Mitch. Mitch also wished the best for his former wives, Helen and Cristina. Mitch tried to help his nieces and nephews through life’s obstacles, especially those he couldn’t overcome himself.

Mitch made us all laugh and cry at the same time but we always knew there was no kinder heart or sweeter man. We will always miss you Mitch.
