On this week’s broadcast, The Indy‘s senior editor Matt Kettmann chats about new and old media with Warren Schultheis and Ryan Gantz. Schultheis, a former Indy intern and graphic designer, recently launched City2.org, a Web site that aggregates Santa Barbara news articles, hosts community forums, and provides a platform for citizen journalism via its blogs. Gantz is involved with SBNation.com, a Web site that serves as headquarters for blogs written by sports fans across the country.
Following that conversation, longtime Indy writer Shannon Kelley comes on the show to read a tale of personal discovery and humanitarian work in post-Katrina New Orleans. The story was published in a new anthology called Submerged: Tales from the Basin.
