The 100th annual El Desfile Histórico parade along Cabrillo Boulevard brought out the happy crowds of Fiesta revelers to enjoy the sunny afternoon on Friday, August 2.
Whether downtown or by the ocean, Santa Barbara loves a good parade, which was evidenced by the thousands of people who flocked to the waterfront to see one of the largest equestrian parades in the country. There were more than 400 horses dancing, trotting, galloping, and regally walking down the boulevard in their finest Fiesta-wear, as well as the parade of local luminaries and elected officials, the dancers, the musicians, and the plethora of floats depicting the history of California and our beautiful city.
