Digital Design Techniques
SBCC School of Extended Learning, Career Skills Institute
Learn how to create flyers, brochures, logos, and more using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign programs from the Adobe CS suite. Class will examine how the programs work together to seamlessly combine photos, graphics, and page layouts to produce high quality products. Students complete class assignments to practice and demonstrate the skills required to design and complete a professional project.
You may elect to take this course independent of a Career Skills Institute digital badge or apply it to the Digital Design Basics Certificate. The Digital Design Certificate prepares students for entry-level graphic design work in print and online media and also provides a basis for expanded course work and career laddering.
To obtain the Digital Design Basics Certificate, participants must complete a total of three required courses and one elective:
Required:
(1) Photoshop
(2) Photoshop for Digital Photographers
(3) Digital Design Techniques
Electives:
(1) Introduction to Adobe Illustrator
(2) Digital Cameras, Digital Photos
(3) Introduction to Dreamweaver
Digital Design Techniques takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning May 18 through June 10. Classes will be held 5:30 PM – 8:15 PM.
