Construction Finish Carpentry
SBCC School of Extended Learning, Career Skills Institute
Prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce with this class in residential construction finish carpentry (housebuilding). Take as a stand-alone course or as part of the 4-course introduction to residential construction, consecutive 2-week courses in framing, finish carpentry, electrical and plumbing, leading to Certificate. Prepares students for workforce and credit Construction Technology program.
Topics include introduction to hand and power tool use, scope of residential finish work, base/case, crown, closets, doors.
To obtain the NonCredit Construction Module Certificate, participants must complete a total of four required courses:

(2) Construction Finish Carpentry
(3) Construction Electrical
(4) Construction Plumbing
Construction Finish Carpentry takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 1 to June 10. These classes will be held 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
