ZOOM ONLINE STUDY CIRCLE MEETS WEEKLY ON TUESDAY EVENINGS FROM 7:30–9:00 PM.
Please join us in a weekly Study Circle offered by the Institute of World Culture in Santa Barbara. In March and April we will be focusing on THE CHALLENGES OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION. Each week we post a short reading or video link with information for you to read, watch or listen to that will give you some background on the topic. At each meeting, someone will briefly summarize the material or do a short presentation to help prepare us for the discussion. We are a group of learners, not experts who appreciate the opportunity to learn and share ideas on topics relevant to humanity’s quest for cultural understanding.

On April 13, we will take up “The Doughnut Economy”, a new way of understanding sustainable enonomies which accounts for both maximum limits while helping to set minimal criteria for allocating societal resources. We will discuss this schema while focusing on Amsterdam’s attempts to live by this model.
