Winemaker Jessica Gasca of Story of Soil has been in the news frequently, with wine writers selecting her to highlight the diversity and quality of Santa Barbara County wines. She is notable for her experimentation and resulting intriguing and well-balanced wines–and for the “soul” that she brings to her versatile winemaking.

Gasca sources her grapes from premium local vineyards including Duvarita, Stolpman, Larner, La Rinconada, Fiddlestix, Ampelos, Bien Nacido Vineyards and more. Her wines are made in small batches, with limited production, with minimal processing to let the character of the grape shine through.
