CEC’s Environmental Hub’s inaugural community art installation features independent documentary photographer Elizabeth Weber’s “Return of the Western Monarch Butterfly: A Photographic Exhibit and Scientific Roadmap for Protecting this Endangered Species.”

The Western Monarch Butterfly Panel Discussion is an opportunity to learn about what you can do to help protect this iconic butterfly and it’s migration. Join photographer Elizabeth Weber, Ole Schell (film maker and founder of West Marin Monarch Sanctuary), Mia Monroe (cofounder and volunteer coordinator of Western Monarch Count), Ashley Fisher (monarch overwintering scientist and endangered species Conservation Biologist with Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation), and Audrey Fusco (Restoration Ecologist with Salmon Protection and Watershed Network). A short film by Ole Schell, about creating monarch habitat on his family’s cattle ranch, will be shown.
