Join in this Creek Week presentation from the City of Santa Barbara Creeks Division and UCSB graduate students Timnit Kefela and Becca Reynolds.
In early 2021, Ms. Kefela and Ms. Reynolds, working with Dr. Patricia Holden at UCSB, partnered with the Creeks Division to collect stormwater samples and study whether microplastics were present in Santa Barbara’s storm drains, creeks, and street sweeper debris.
Learn what they have discovered so far, and what can be done to prevent microplastics from polluting our environment.
Ms. Kefela, Ms. Reynolds, and Water Quality Research Coordinator Jill Murray of the Creeks Division will be available for a Q&A session following the presentation.
Register at GoToWebinar.
