Vishnu R at the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts

The Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts is pleased to present a performance by Vishnu R on Saturday, June 3rd at 6 pm. He will be joined by Michael Orenstein on keyboards and Matthew Smith on drums and percussion.

Vishnu R is an award-winning performer, composer, inventor, and patent-holder of Navtar®, a unique 9-string instrument that highlights micro-nuances of Carnatic melody and Western harmony (built by French luthier Alexandre Letellier). His superlative command over Indian Classical, Western Classical, and Jazz music has gained him international acclaim, with performances and workshops across India, Europe, and USA.

Vishnu is a Fellow of the US Govt. Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs OneBeat program and is the recipient of prestigious awards. He has performed on leading platforms, played for numerous films, given talks for the Confederation of Indian Industries, and the India Innovation Summit 2020, and has collaborated with world-renowned artists and GRAMMY winners.

The Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts is located at 8585 Ojai-Santa Paula Road in Upper Ojai.
