The COVID pandemic has posed a threat to our biological and social lives, disrupting or destroying the “normal” modes and spaces of our ordinary life. How can public life and human interactions recover? In this Interdisciplinary Humanities Center (IHC) talk, Alexandre Gefen and Sandra Laugier will explore how arts and literature contribute to the expectation of reparation and social transformation, the (re)creation of relationships, the formation of social resilience and other narratives, and the development of an ethic of care.

Sponsored by the IHC’s Regeneration series, Hester and Cedric Crowell Endowment, Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies, Graduate Center for Literary Research, Center for Humanities and Social Change, and Comparative Literature Program

Free to attend; visit the IHC page for more information and to register for the Zoom attendance link: https://bit.ly/Gefen-IHC
