Come celebrate our 20th anniversary with Channel Islands Restoration! Ken Owen, CIR Executive Director will present an introduction to the habitat restoration work and environmental education programs we began in 2002.
Starting with a volunteer project on Santa Cruz Island removing invasive plants, within five years CIR expanded our work to Santa Rosa Island and to watersheds on the mainland in Santa Barbara County.
This 45-minute presentation (plus a 15-minute Q&A opportunity) will highlight how our non-profit organization became established and our early successes as we built a unique habitat restoration service from the ground up.
