“Strike up the Band” is a concert featuring famous works by famous bands, including Thad Jones/Mel Lewis, Maria Schneider, Pat Metheny, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, and Duke Ellington. We will also be celebrating our graduating students Moremi Kaplan, Owen Keveany, Atalia Zahrnt, Krish Jain, Chris Myers, Henry Jurney, Allison Rigler, Cary Higgins, Emily Conway, and Liam Coggon, as well as students from our entire Jazz Ensemble and Combos program. Join us for an exciting and fun concert as we wrap up the year in jazz at UCSB!
