Trump Debate at the Alcazar Theater in Carpinteria
The public is invited to attend a live debate: “Should President Trump be Re-elected?”
Das Willams will take the “No” position and Joe Armendariz will be the “Yes.” Gail Marshall, former County Supervisor, will moderate.
This will be a rematch for Das and Joe who have debated Central Coast issues before. Das is a current County Supervisor and local Carpinterian. Joe was on the Carpinteria City Council during the historic Paredon/Venoco era and is a columnist for the Santa Barbara News Press.
Some of the topics expected to be discussed are Impeachment, the economy, Immigration and Social Media in political campaigns. The debate is being organized as a genuine effort to hear both sides of the issues. The final segment will be questions from the audience.
Two local filmmakers, Larry Nimmer and Duffy Hecht are producing the event which will be part of their documentary on the 2020 election. Their Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/TrumpProsAndCons/) has already attracted over 80,000 views.
President Trump is the #1 issue in newspapers and newscasts around the world. This is guaranteed to be an exciting, informative, Carpinteria/Santa Barbara event.
