The SYV Chorale Presents Disney Magic Concert

The Santa Ynez Valley Chorale, now under the direction of David Lozano Torres, will present its Spring Concert featuring Disney favorites on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th at 3pm. at the Solvang Veterans Memorial Hall, 1745 Mission Drive, Solvang. The concert celebrates 100 years of Disney. Tickets are $15 in advance and are available on www.syvchorale.org, through Chorale members, at the Book Loft in Solvang or $20 at the door.  Children under 15 attend free when accompanied by an adult and will love this concert featuring their favorite Disney songs!

Torres states, “We are pleased to present our Spring Concert, “A Journey of Wonder, featuring the Magical Music of Disney”. The concert presents music from the classic films interwoven with a new Disney-inspired story that will take our audience on a magical ride. From heroic events filled with love and tragedy, to the iconic villain schemes, this concert is sure to provide the Disney-nostalgia audiences love.” With classics from Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid to popular hits from Frozen, Newsies, and Encanto, this is a concert the whole family will enjoy – it will have you singing along!”

Torres has a BA in Music with a conducting emphasis and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. He is completing his Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree in Choral Conducting at the University of California Santa Barbara.
