The Santa Barbara County Auto Expo at SBCC Great Meadow

For those who love to drive, and are up for adventure with some fun challenges along the route,we invite you to join our Auto Rally Event Sat Aug 10th.

Later in the evening on Sat Aug 10th is our second event of the weekend, the Auto Expo Gala. Travel back in time with us to the prohibition era and get invited to our Speak-Easy. It’ll be a fun evening to celebrate the launch of the Expo.

Finally concluding our weekend of festivities, the pièce de résistance is our Auto Expo Car Show on Sunday Aug 11th out at UC Santa Barbara’s Storke Field. Open to All Years, Makes & Models of Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles, what is normally coveted by soccer players will be a sea of automotive masterpieces.

We  would love for you to join us in support of our non-profit in participating in this year’s events. There is an activity for everyone and the whole family is welcome as always. The proceeds from this event goes towards our non-profit’s goal of opening our vocational training center here in Santa Barbara. We are currently working with the city of Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Airport on repurposing the two 1930’s Western General Hangars at the airport and restoring them as our Workshop space and one as the Santa Barbara Aviation and Automotive History Museum. We have already identified 1.5 million in local and federal grants to help us tackle this project. Unknown to most people these hangars have a lot of automotive history for the area including being the site of the first sanctioned drag race in the united states as well as home to the Santa Barbara Road Races which were frequented by many celebrities like James Dean among others.
