TedXSantaBarbara: Making Waves – Climate Justice via Zoom

In our continuing conversation during Earth Month, we will talk with Jen Hernández from CEC about her work with the Central Coast Climate Justice Network and the practices and partnerships needed to advance restorative systems change led by communities that experience the greatest burden of climate change impacts.

Jennifer Hernández currently works with Community Environmental Council, a non-profit serving Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties, where she focuses on clean energy, transportation equity, and climate justice. She is a member representative with the Central Coast Climate Justice Network, a coalition of social justice and environmental organizations that work to advance restorative actions and systems change, centered on the communities most impacted by climate change. Jen also serves as Board President for One Step a la Vez, a youth center serving Santa Paula, Fillmore, and Piru.
