Sea Wolf (solo) @ SOHO Restaurant and Music Club

Los Angeles based singer and songwriter Alex Brown Church has been releasing music with his main musical project Sea Wolf since 2007’s debut album, Leaves in the River. When that album’s lead single “You’re a Wolf” made a splash, Church and his band quickly found a place in the indie music landscape, going on to permeate independent radio, extensive touring, festival appearances, film and TV soundtracks and building a devoted fan base while releasing four more albums along the way: WhiteWater, White Bloom (2009), Old World Romance (2012), Song Spells No. 1: Cedarsmoke (2014) and Through a Dark Wood (2020).

While Sea Wolf’s music is largely conceived by Church alone, he loops other players and co-producers into his recording process, most regularly the core of his live band, longtime collaborators Lisa Fendelander (keyboards), Scott Leahy (guitar), and Joey Ficken (drums).

Sea Wolf’s most recent release Through a Dark Wood (Deluxe) (2021), featured 5 additional songs from the album’s recording sessions and was followed in early 2022with the first full-band tour since 2019.

Church is currently working on the next Sea Wolf album, and will be doing a handful of solo shows around California in early 2023.
