Science Pub: Galactic Archaeology

What was the first generation of stars in the universe like? As archaeologists would uncover clues in ruins to learn about life in an ancient settlement, astrophysicists analyze the spectra of some of the oldest stars in our galaxy to piece together what their environments were like. SBMNH Lead Astronomy Programs Presenter Rafael Cottom will take you on a voyage through time and space as he recounts his research on this topic as an intern at Carnegie Observatories.
