SBCC School of Extended Learning, Career Skills Institute short courses and certificate programs provide the training you need to get a job, advance in your job, or skills to grow your business.
Business Writing in a Technological World course teaches students to develop effective and professional business writing skills for electronic and hard-copy communication using business tone, organization and formatting, word choice and persuasion.
You may elect to take this course independent of a Career Skills Institute digital badge or apply it to the Enterprise Communication Certificate. Participants who earn this certificate have demonstrated oral and written workplace communication skills requiring inquiry, acknowledgment, advocacy and problem solving. Developed scripts using role play to participate in effective difficult conversations. Constructed and delivered a constructive criticism feedback session. Applied constructive business writing concepts to writing letters and emails using complete sentences with sentence variety, clarity with pronouns, proper punctuation, paragraphing and clear organization of ideas.
To obtain the Enterprise Communication Certificate, participants must complete a total of three required courses:

(2) Workplace Communication Strategies
(3) Difficult Conversations
Business Writing in a Technological World takes place on Thursday, September 16. This class will be held 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
