City Hall Steps At De La Guerra Plaza
The Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara is delighted to announce the return of their weekend walking tours beginning Saturday July 9, 2022 and Sunday July 10, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Saturday’s Sabado Tour leaves from the City Hall steps at de la Guerra Plaza. Some of the historic sites you’ll see are de la Guerra Adobe, El Paseo, Meridian Studios, and Lobero Theatre. Hear the rich anecdotal history of these building and the designers and builders. Celebrate with us the cultural heritage left by the first Spanish and Mexican settlers, and those giants of Southern California architecture Julia Morgan, George Washington Smith, Lutah Maria Riggs, Reginald Johnson, James Osborne Craig and Mary Craig.
The Sunday Domingo Tour leaves from the SB Public Library entrance courtyard at 10:00 am.
Suggested cash donation: $10.00 per person. Please no strollers, very young children or pets.
Please bring masks to the tour in the event the docent feels they are necessary.
