Santa Barbara Executive Roundtable (SABER), Santa Barbara’s premier small business educator and networking organization, presents an engaging talk on Thursday, June 13, “The Body of a Leader: Leveraging the Brain in Your Body to Be Your Best.”
The guest speaker will be Jay Fields, M.A. who is a somatic educator, therapeutic coach and author who has taught the principles of Awareness-Based Self-Regulation to individuals and organizations for 19 years. The talk will revolve around topics consisting of how to understand your nervous system and how it can either unconsciously trip you up from the inside out or help to keep you in touch with your internal resources. Learn simple and effective practices that will rewire your nervous system and neuromusculature to create new embodied patterns that positively affect your day-to-day life.
The event is Thursday, June 13 from 7:30am – 10 a.m. at The University Club, 1332 Santa Barbara St., with coffee and networking starting at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $35 with RSVP until the day before the event and $40 at the door. Checks and cash are accepted at the door. A buffet breakfast is included.
