Welcome to the 51st annual Santa Barbara Writers Conference, founded in 1973 by Mary & Barnaby Conrad to provide a space for writers of all levels to gather and exchange knowledge and inspiration.
If you’re attending for the first time, you’re likely to feel a rush of discovery to find yourself among fellow humans who see the world through the lens of storytelling.Expect new friendships to be fostered, even if you’re shy. Trust that everyone at SBWC is a fellow traveler.
We’ll create memorable times this week while working on writing around the clock. Start early or stay late. The week is packed with options every day, and you cannot do everything in one week…try as you might.
Our workshops cover all aspects of writing and publishing, all in an atmosphere of writers helping writers. If you’re at the beginning of your career, or if you’ve published, we have experts to help get you to the next station of the journey.
