Join Rev. Karen S. Wylie at The Ojai Retreat on Sunday, October 13, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for her Mid-Month Devotional Retreat, which this month will explore “What is the blessing of life?”
“There are times when life seems to be far more of a challenge than a blessing,” Rev. Karen says. “But what if these challenges themselves are the blessing? After all, most of us don’t grow when life is easy. We develop strength of character, growth in our faith, and fulfillment of our soul’s purpose most often when the chips are down. As my teacher, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith, often says, ‘A bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul!’”
The retreat will be devoted to meditation, sharing, wisdom talks, quiet walks in nature, and sacred music. People of all faiths and traditions, or no tradition, are welcome to attend. Randee Vasilakos, RScP, assists and anchors the morning in a consciousness of prayer and healing.
