American democracy is facing serious headwinds. UCSB Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Heather Stoll will share her insights on the institutional framework of American democracy, with a particular focus on the rules governing elections, and place it in a comparative context.

Prior to joining the UCSB faculty in 2005, Stoll spent a year as a research fellow at the Center for Basic Research in the Social Sciences at Harvard University. She also has a M.S. in statistics from Stanford University and an MPhil in politics from the University of Oxford.

This free event is a contemporary issues community forum co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara, and the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara.
