Planning a Pollinator Garden

The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners announces a free public workshop entitled “Planning a Pollinator Garden” to be presented on Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Faulkner Gallery of the Santa Barbara Central Library, 40 E. Anapamu Street in Santa Barbara.

Attendees will learn the importance of pollinators, the different types of pollinators, how to build a habitat for pollinators, and how to analyze soil and climate for plant selection.

 

About the speakers:

Sheryl Reimersand Jim Ricelive in Lompoc. She grows flowers in their garden for bees and Jim is an avid beekeeper. They also maintain a vegetable garden and belong to beekeeping groups. They are first year Master Gardeners.
