UCSB Library invites you to a panel discussion about city building through the eyes of those involved in planning our urban community. This event is in conjunction with the UCSB Reads 2023 book Happy City: Transforming Our Lives Through Urban Design, which asks us to explore the question: “What kind of living environment makes us happy?”

Panelists include Elias Isaacson, Community Development Director, City of Santa Barbara, James Kyriaco, Councilmember, City of Goleta, Laurel Perez, Principal Planner, SEPPS, and Kim Yasuda, UCSB Department of Art. Moderated by Andrew Plantinga, UCSB Bren School of Environmental Science & Policy.
