UCSB Kids in Nutrition is hosting our very first Nutrition Panel Event on January 23, 2025 from 7-9pm at Embarcadero Hall, UCSB. The speakers include a dentist, pediatrician, dietician, catering chef, and 2 representatives from local nutritional organizations (Tangelo and SBC Foodbank). The goal of this event is to educate students at UCSB and local community members about the importance of nutritious eating habits and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Through UCSB Kids in Nutrition, volunteers visit local elementary school classrooms and teach K-2nd grade students about nutrition education and inspire them to lead active and healthy lifestyles. By opening up this event to the community, we hope parents and other influential adults will be able to positively influence a child’s food habits starting from a young age by obtaining relevant information and advice from experts.
Light appetizers (vegetarian and vegan wraps) will be provided for free by IV Coop Deli & Catering. Doors open around 6:30pm.
