Mesa Bookstore’s Fantastic Annual Party

Time again for the awe-inspiring Mesa Bookstore Party and Sale!
This year, along with the many books we offer for sale, we proudly host three very successful published Young Adult authors from Santa Barbara.
Nikki Barthelmess, who has penned three poignant coming-of-age novels including The Quiet You Carry, (Flux, 2020);
Ana Ellickson, writer of the recently-released fantasy adventure The Vanishing Station (Harry N. Abrams, 2024), set in San Francisco and its sinister under-city;
and Lauren Munoz, who boldly wrote a whodunit for today’s young audience, Suddenly a Murder, (Putnam, 2024.)
See and hear all three authors at a roundtable discussing the joys and perils of contemporary publishing at 2:30 pm.
Opening our afternoon of sun-kissed entertainment, at 1 pm, is Chucamite our favorite jarocho son musicians. Closing the festivities will be the return of Lark Batteau, chanson singer extraordinaire and author of the great memoir Lark Ascending. Of course, there will be hundreds of used books for sale for one, two, three and five dollars. Cookies, coffee, and dad jokes galore furnished free. Sunday, August 18 beginning at 12 pm, 1838 Cliff Drive.
