MEAN GIRLS JR is a fearless musical adaptation specially tailored for younger performers and audiences. This version, derived from the hit film and Broadway show, is a thrilling spectacle packed with keen wit, an undeniably catchy score, and a sincere message about the challenges of chasing popularity while staying true to oneself.
Written by Tina Fey, with lyrics by Nell Benjamin and music by Jeff Richmond, MEAN GIRLS JR tells the story of Cady Heron, who, after growing up on an African savanna, must navigate the treacherous social waters of an American high school. She encounters “The Plastics,” a trio of frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. As Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.
