Gather to ignite creative connections and strengthen our unity by celebrating and honoring the wisdom and poetry of Rumi. Our guest speakers will offer Rumi’s stories and poems leading us to in-depth conversations. Enjoy Middle Eastern finger food and refreshments while listening to soft live music and connecting with diverse minds.
About Rumi
Rumi is a 13th-century Persian Poet and Muslim Mystic. He is known as one of the masters of his craft and one of the greatest spiritual poets in history. His work comprises over 60,000 lines of ecstatic poetry which conveys the Sufi path of love and the human experience.
About The REC
The Rumi Educational Center is a non-profit organization in Santa Barbara. Rumi Educational Center’s mission is to spread understanding of Jala Al Din Rumi’s poetry, to promote his wisdom teachings of Universal Love. Our purpose is to enable spiritual seekers of all backgrounds to learn and experience the messages of pluralism, tolerance, humanism, and non-violence that are rooted in his scholarship and genuine understanding of Sufism, the mystical dimension of Islam.
