Land Trust Treks are a monthly series of guided hikes for the community to explore scenic Santa Barbara County and to meet your local Land Trust. Free and open to the public.
WHAT:
Join the Land Trust for a walk around Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden to learn about the trees from Bob Muller, a forest ecologist and co-author of Trees of Santa Barbara, a comprehensive field guide. Bob Muller, who served as Director of Research for Santa Barbara Botanic Garden for 10 years, will share information about individual tree species, their characteristics, and habitats as well as the rich botanical history of Santa Barbara.
This program is best suited for adults and will be presented in English. Restrooms are available across the street at Alameda Park. Street parking is available in the neighborhood. There will be a mix of sun and shade during the walk.
