Independent Living Resource Center hosts its first fundraising event in support of promoting independent living and full access for individuals with disabilities through advocacy, education, and action in our communities.
Location, Date: – Non-profit service provider, Independent Living Resource Center invites our neighbors in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo to attend their first annual fundraising dinner, “Passion for Independence” on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the historic Santa Barbara Club.
Please register online at www.ilrc-trico.org. ILRC’s “Passion for Independence”, will be raising money to address the unmet needs of local individuals with disabilities on a quest to live their best lives.
ILRC provides resources, assistance, and targeted programs to help with all the details of independence such as; affordable/accessible housing, benefits, transportation, personal assistance, assistive technology, and true peer support.
The event starts at 5:00 PM, with a cocktail hour followed by dinner and fundraising activities to raise money for the addition of needed ILRC services.
The Emcee for the evening is Santa Barbara Foundation’s 2018 Man of the Year, Ernesto Paredes, Executive Director of Easy Lift. Event participation includes purchasing individual tickets for the evening or becoming a sponsor. The benefits of becoming a sponsor may include preferred seating, recognition from the podium, logo and/or name on ILRC’s Passion for Independence event webpage, recognition on ILRC’s media, printed material, and more.
