The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is pleased to present vocalist James Arnold, Sunday, November 14 from 1 to 4 pm at SOhO Restaurant and Music Club. James is that kind of dynamic singer whose work is indescribable …you just have to experience it. He can deliver a swinging, joyous Bye Bye Blackbird and, and the next minute brings you close to tears with A House Is Not a Home. Accompanying James are veteran first-call musicians: pianist Woody De Marco, bassist Hank Allen, and Darrell Voss on drums. The Jazz Society will also be paying tribute to local jazz greats, Peter Clark and Al Reese who we lost this year.
Admission to the event is $25 for Jazz Society members, $10 for professional jazz musicians and singers and full-time students, and $35 for non-members. Doors open at 12:30…seating is limited so please plan to arrive early.
It’s easier than ever to join the Jazz Society… now you can join online! Just press the join button on our website and voila, you’re in! Of course, you can still join at our gigs, as in the past, where we will distribute membership cards. We are looking forward to seeing all of you faithful jazz supporters in November. Note: SOhO requires proof of vaccination (or recent negative Covid test) and face masks for all concerts.
