Santa Barbara’s Powerful Women

By Neal Graffy

It is more than appropriate that Santa Barbara is named after a woman for our community has been shaped and enriched throughout its history through the efforts of women. Often working against societal constraints, women have made their mark in government, medicine, education, social service, and more. Join historian Neal Graffy as he relates the stories of a number of these community leaders who did so much to form our history.
