An air of mystery shrouds the night, something stirs between the light, the wind whispers through the trees, could it be the Pumpkin Queen? Get ready Isla Vista, spooky season is upon us! IVRPD is delighted to announce that the annual Halloween Pumpkin Patch event is set to return once again to downtown Isla Vista. To mark the occasion of its fourth anniversary, Anisq’Oyo’ Park will be transformed into an illuminated wonderland filled with spooky delights, offering guests an immersive pumpkin patch experience for two nights on October 30th and 31st from 7pm-11pm.
This year’s pumpkin patch will invite guests to embark on a journey unlike any before, challenging them to discover hidden clues about a legendary garden grove whose ancient magic is crucial to ensuring the park’s future. Live costumed actors will enlist the help of community members to rally together in an adventurous storyline filled with plot twists that leads them to taking home a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
IVRPD is also excited to announce that silent disco is making a triumphant return for two back-to-back nights in Cool Corner near Embarcadero Hall. This free community event will also feature carnival games, photo booth, and a “Bumpkin Bargain Passport” featuring coupons to local businesses including Woodstock’s, The Farmacy, IV Food Co-Op, and Naan Stop.
Night One will feature screenings of classic black and white silent films from 7pm-11pm. Night Two, IVRPD will host a Costume Contest in partnership with UCSB Fashion Club featuring a grand prize of $750.00 Be sure to register in advance online by going to the Contest Registration Form. Please note that the contest is limited to 60 entries and that participants are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes early to check in at Anisq’Oyo’ on the night of the contest.
