Join Gaviota Coast Conservancy and local Chumash guests on Sunday, October 23 in acknowledging the First People’s stewardship on the Gaviota Coast. Witness unspoiled views views of our coast from a unique vantage point. Experience the joy and expression of Chumash song and company. Possibly cross paths with humpback whales and other marine inhabitants. Learn about protected Gaviota Coast lands and those still at risk of development.

WHEN: 9:30 am checkin and return at approximately 2:00pm on Sunday, October 23.
WHERE: Board at the Santa Barbara Landing in the Santa Barbara harbor near the boat launch ramp at 301 W. Cabrillo Blvd. Secure parking, in the lot nearby, is available for $12/day per car.
WHAT: Board the Condor Express, after checking in, and cruise west toward Gaviota State Beach. Greg Helms, of Ocean Conservancy, will point out places that Gaviota Coast Conservancy has worked to protect. Have the opportunity to ask Gaviota Coast Conservancy Board Members questions about the work they are involved in and also about the status of certain properties. Engage with Chumash and other guests. Group narrative will be short as we are out to observe this place we call home. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent.
