Explore the history of Santa Barbara’s converted warehouse district while familiarizing yourself with the numerous wine tasting rooms, brew pubs, and restaurants congregated in the 10 square block area. The 90 minute tour with 12 stops of interest – including a visit with a local artist -will cover the history of the prestigious Hotel Californian, Lark Restaurant, Lockheed Aircraft, Bekins and Weber Bakery buildings, and McConnell’s ice cream. A portfolio of nearly 50 old 11 x 17 photos helps place you back in time. At the end of the tour you’ll receive the Funk Zone map, a handle reference guide to over 60 restaurants, brew pubs, wineries, and art studios in the area.
