About the Santa Barbara Country Dance Society (SBCDS) and Contra Dances
Contra dances and English Country Dances are sponsored by the Santa Barbara Country Dance Society and the City of Santa Barbara Parks & Recreation Board. They brings contra dances to you almost every Sunday. Our Contra dance always has a live band and a live caller. Many moves are similar to square dancing and the caller walks the dancers through the moves before each dance.
There is always a lesson at 6:10pm before the dances.
