TOMMY
4K Restoration
September 6 & 7
Your senses will never be the same.
After seeing his stepfather murder his father during an argument over his mother, young Tommy goes into shock, suddenly becoming psychosomatically deaf, dumb and blind. As a teenager, Tommy stumbles upon a pinball machine and discovers he is a natural prodigy at the game. Fame and fortune follow as Tommy (Roger Daltry) becomes a pinball champion and later the messiah of a religious cult, which views his pinball skills as a miraculous sign of divine intervention.
This 4K restoration presents the movie in its original, mind-boggling “quintaphonic stereo” mix; the technology paved the way for Dolby Surround, Atmos and the various digital stereo formats that began appearing in the 1990s.
