Salsipuedes Street, produced by the local non-profit, Community Film Studio Santa Barbara (CFSSB), was written by local playwright, Toby Campion, and features hundreds of local actors, crew, and volunteers. The film was shot entirely in the greater Santa Barbara area. It’s the story of Luis Vasquez and his sisters’, Angie and America, as they struggle to keep their family intact while chasing the American Dream following their parents’ sudden deportation. How will Luis handle his new role as head of the household? Can the siblings get along without their parents as a stabilizing influence? What about school, work, and the growing stack of bills?
There will be a Q&A with the film’s Director, Dennis Sandoval, and Producer, Phebe Mansur, immediately after the film. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate this locally produced film in a unique and charming venue. Secure your tickets now and enjoy a very special night at the Alcazar
Theatre!
Doors open at 4:30.
