Join the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society in celebrating Family History Month! We’ll be hosting an Open House at the Sahyun Genealogical Library on Sunday, October 1 from 1:00 – 4:00pm.
This free event will include “Discovery Experiences” with the FamilySearch Center of Santa Barbara including recording your family stories, finding famous ancestors, help finding your family in the 1950 Census, family fan chart printouts, and more!
Genealogical Society volunteers will be on hand to help you get started researching your family history, and leading tours of the Sahyun Library, and our Santa Barbara Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage exhibit will be on display for viewing.
Other event highlights will include booths from community organizations, free use of our computers and genealogy subscription websites, and refreshments.
