The Medicine Wheel has been a part of Native American culture for hundreds of years. It was used by many different tribes of North America. It is a place where people can come together to honor Nature and share our prayers for ourselves, loved ones and the planet.
Abby Isadora Haydon will facilitate this ceremony. She is a builder of earth energy structures and has built many Medicine wheels and labyrinths in Sedona, Arizona. She built this medicine wheel, which is a fire wheel, from stones that had been purified in the Thomas fire in the Lake Casitas area.
Abby is also an authority on Mayan astrology, culture and mythology, having written three books on these subjects. She was taught how to create and perform the Mayan Fire Ceremony by a shaman who worked along side the esteemed mother/elder Flor de Mayo.
The day of this ceremony is 13 Jaguar. It is the most powerful day of the Jaguar day sign. Jaguar represents the shaman in Mayan culture. People born under this day sign have a deep, silent connection to the earth, and are usually healers and artists. The Jaguar is an intermediary to the Underworld and can go there on behalf of others to heal them and also find prosperity for them. To honor the Jaguar on this day is to invite the Jaguar to assist you in any physical or emotional issue that needs healing as well as to receive guidance for receiving prosperity.
Abby will also make available the Mayan Calendar and Conversion Codex that is a quick, easy tool for discovering your Mayan astrology day sign and your compatibility with others.
The event will start with Native American smudging with Sage that purifies the energy fields, calling in the directions, tobacco offering and Native American songs and drumming. Next Abby will ignite the Mayan fire bowl and all present will be able to give an offering to the fire of Mayan incense called Copal. You may state your requests to the Jaguar energy of what you wish to heal or achieve for yourself, others or the world aloud or silently. Then Abby will close the Medicine Wheel and thank the energies of the directions, the guides, elders, angels and beings of light for their presence.
You will feel the power gathered during this event as you leave the Medicine Wheel.
This is an outdoor ceremony with social distancing. Masks are optional.
