Ethical Fashion Show and Sustainable Business Marketplace

Join HUMAIN for an afternoon of ethical and sustainable fashion as they promote conscious consumerism in Santa Barbara and celebrate brands doing good for people and the planet. The event will be held at the Anacapa School, 814 Santa Barbara Street.

There will be wine and appetizers for you to enjoy as you watch the fashion show, shop from the sustainable vendors, and learn about sustainability and ethics within the fashion industry.

 This event is a fundraiser for HUMAIN, a non-profit dedicated to creating a sustainable and reliable food source for Haitian sugarcane workers in the Dominican Republic who have been victims of human trafficking and labor exploitation. HUMAIN also aims to promote conscious consumerism, because everyone has the power to combat human trafficking and forced labor through the purchases they make every day. HUMAIN was co-founded by a local teen and current Loyola Marymount junior, Elena Alcerro, who graduated from Anacapa in the class of 2017.

 At the end of the event, you will be able to purchase some of the clothing showcased and baskets of sustainable goods will be raffled off!

Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door, kids under 12 are free.
