“Edward Borein: A Response to his Art”
A talk by Michael R. Grauer
In conjunction with the exhibition Borein and His Circle of Friends, the Santa Barbara Historical Museum offers this free Zoom talk about one of Santa Barbara’s most celebrated citizens, cowboy artist Edward Borein,
Mr. Grauer authored the introductory essay to the Museum’s new book, Edward Borein: Etched by the West. He is the McCasland Chair of Cowboy Culture and Curator of Cowboy Collections at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City and has curated over one hundred-fifty exhibitions on Western art and culture and authored sixty-five publications.
Borein and His Circle of Friends is on view from September 22, 2021 to January 22, 2021. The Museum is open Wednesdays 12-5pm, Thursdays 12-7pm, Fridays 12-5pm, Saturdays 12-5pm and Sundays 12-5pm.
