DOS PUEBLOS THEATER PRESENTS GROUNDBREAKING PIPPIN

Dos Pueblos Theatre Company will present a drive-in movie/LIVE theater production of the highly acclaimed Broadway musical PIPPIN May 21 & 22 at 8:00 pm.  The story revolves around a  band of players (whose previous show was shut down due to COVID) and who are determined that this time the show WILL go on, even if they have to embrace the crazy restrictions of COVID.  They lead a naive young Pippin, who longs to live an extraordinary life, through a series of adventures promising a “climax you will remember the rest of your life.”

The audience, from the comfort of their cars, will watch LIVE performances on the small parking lot stage or broadcast LIVE from the outdoor TV studio.  In addition, prerecorded music videos will be projected against the side of the theater.  At times the actors on screen interact with the LIVE actors and visa versa. It may be hard to picture since this is a brand new form of theater created of necessity during COVID times.  There is extremely limited parking available for the in-person audience, so it’s highly recommended to purchase tickets early.
