CARUSO’S AT ROSEWOOD MIRAMAR BEACH PRESENTS DOMAINE DE MONTILLE AND RACINES WINE DINNER
One-Night Only Event Pairs Burgundian and Santa Barbaran Wines by Étienne de Montille with Michelin-Starred and Michelin Green-Starred Californian Cuisine
WHAT: On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Caruso’s, Rosewood Miramar Beach’s Michelin-starred and Michelin Green-starred beloved restaurant, presents The Domaine De Montille and Racines Wine Dinner Experience at Miramar. For one exclusive night, the intimate 12-seat dinner will feature wines by Étienne de Montille, who, in addition to producing his signature Burgundies at Domaine de Montille, produces local Racines wines in the Santa Rita Hills. In addition to pairing de Montille’s wines from both Burgundy and Santa Barbara with Chef Massimo Falsini’s signature hyperlocal Californian cuisine, the dinner will be served in FronteMare’s romantic and intimate dining space, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and emphasizing the meal’s special sense of place on the Central Coast.
With just 12 tickets available, the experience includes an eight-course menu tasting menu, thoughtfully crafted to showcase the bounty of the Central Coast and Étienne de Montille’s unparalleled wine selections, both in California and France. De Montille’s esteemed wine, when paired with Caruso’s profoundly Californian cuisine, highlights the culinary excellence of Santa Barbara and will make for a very special dinner.
ABOUT RACINES: A collaboration led by Étienne de Montille, Brian Sieve of Burgundy, and Rodolphe Péters of Champagne, Racines is the newest overseas project of de Montille, as he and Sieve searched through California and Oregon to locate the perfect place to produce unique Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays outside the constrictions of their respective French regions. The cool climate of the Santa Rita Hills provided the perfect environment for this new venture, as the area’s ocean-driven terroir, a few miles from the sea with grapes grown in soil from the ancient marine sea bed, give the wines a sense of energy, transparency and precision.
ABOUT DOMAINE DE MONTILLE: The storied Domaine de Montille traces its history in Burgundy back to the 1730s, with Hubert de Montille taking the helm in 1947 with a drive and passion that eventually earned the family a place in the most elite of Burgundy estates. For the past two decades, Etienne de Montille has led Domaine de Montille’s excellence, orchestrating its journey with visionary zeal and unwavering commitment. Currently, De Montille has successfully cemented the global reputation of the estate, excelling both in red and white wines and expanding his vineyards to 35 hectares, restoring the estate to its level in the 19th century.
