The Carpinteria Valley Historical Society and History Museum’s Marketplace is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, 956 Maple Ave. in downtown Carpinteria.
The outdoor fundraiser is known for its roster of eclectic vendors selling handcrafted gifts, specialty foods, toys, plants, antiques, furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, musical instruments, and other treasures.
Cheryl Herman, founder and owner of For The Soul Creations, will be selling her handcrafted jewelry pieces, which have a delicate, minimalistic style and beachy vibe. Along with her line of bracelets, rings, earrings, necklaces, and wire-wrapped designs are the enchanting serenity malas—108 carefully chosen and hand-knotted gemstone beaded necklaces, each infuse with positive energies to ignite the soul. “Jewelry making has been my cherished hobby for a long time, and this year, I’m thrilled to share my creations,” reported Herman. “Having my first show in this meaningful town is both exciting and a blessing. I look forward to sharing the beauty of art and the magic of Carpinteria through my heartfelt jewelry pieces.” Herman can be reached at ftsoulcreations@gmail.com. Visit forthesouldcreations.com for more information.
Granny’s Attic, the booth with prices starting at 25 cents operated by the museum, features collectibles, vintage cameras, bric-a-brac, household items including quilts, kitchenware, linens, chinaware, and much more.
Admission to the Marketplace is free. Hot dogs, cold beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase. Musical entertainment includes Mavis Hansen and the Ukulele Jammers.
