Sespe Creek proudly presents Health Care Professional Workshop, a FREE event series for the community. Our first event Cannabis For Pets is one near and dear to everyone who has a beloved pet and would like to explore plant-based healing alternatives.
This talk will be presented by Pet Cannabis Expert, Eileen Gillen, DVM. (This presentation includes Q&A)
At the end of the presentation attendees will learn:
• Difference between hemp and marijuana/cannabis
• Current research regarding CBD in dogs
• Beneficial uses of CBD
• Current controversies in veterinary medicinal use of full spectrum cannabis for companion animals
Presenter’s Bio: Eileen Gillen, DVM, is the former co-owner and medical director of the CARE Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital in Santa Barbara. She sold the hospital to Veterinary Centers of America in 2015. In addition to being experienced in Emergency Medicine and ER Management, Dr. Gillen has a special interest in treatment of pets using cannabis therapies.
