The creative act of self expression without rules or limitations
Abstract and representational works are both welcome in this show, along with all wall hung mediums including: oil, acrylic, collage, photography and mixed media.
JUROR of AWARDS:
Barbara Cronin Hershberg
Barbara received her B.A. in dance from Lone Mt. College in San Francisco. She received her teaching credential and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education, and an M.A. in Leadership and Organization from UCSB. After retiring from 25 years of teaching, Barbara pursued her passion for art. She has exhibited her work in a variety of venues, including the Carpinteria Arts Center, Atkinson Gallery, Voice Gallery, Channing Peake Gallery and the Ridley-Tree Art Museum at Westmont. The artist is a member of the SBAA, GVAA, SBVA, the Abstract Art Collective and serves as Chairperson on the board of Gallery 113.
ENTRY DEADLINE: August 17th
NOTIFICATION: By August 18th
BEST OF SHOW: 3-Month Membership at the S B Tennis Club.
EXHIBIT DATES: September 7th- October 3rd
RECEPTION & AWARDS: September 13th 4:30 – 6:00pm.
IN-GATHERING: September 5th, 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm.
TAKE DOWN: October 3rd, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm..
GUIDELINES FOR CONTEST:
• Gallery split: 60/40 – 60% to artist, 40% to gallery.
• All artwork must hang on the wall. No pedestal works will be accepted.
• Artwork may not exceed 28”x 28”x 10” deep, including framing.
• Image submissions- 72 DPI J-peg.
• Title your images with: your name, title, medium, framed size, retail price.
JPG’s emailed to: susantibbles@yahoo.com with “Play” in the subject bar.
• Entry Fee: $35 for first image, additional images at $5 each, via Paypal. • PayPal invoice will follow your submissions.
• It is not necessary to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts credit cards.
GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED WORKS:
Saw-tooth brackets will not be accepted.
Artwork must be properly wired, with eye screws or D-rings.
All works shall be for sale. Standard gallery splits 60% to artist 40% to gallery. Only quality frames will be accepted.
Prints on Aluminum and panel will be accepted.
Giclee’s on canvas will not be accepted.
